Friede Auf Erden, Peace On Earth

Late in life, Arnold Schoenberg was asked why he didn’t still compose in the style of his popular, youthful orchestral suite, Transfigured Night.
"I do," he replied, "…but nobody notices." This morning we’ll enjoy a
lush, contemplative work from his middle period: the choral song, Friede auf Erden – "Peace on Earth".
