The dairy industry is notorious for prices that rise and fall. But even in a business known for uncertainty, this season is a particularly bad one in terms of the prices farmers are getting for milk. Agriculture Secretary Roger Allbee joins us to discuss why ‘crisis’ is a word that’s being used to describe the situation in our region’s milk industry, and the prospects for Vermont’s dairy farms in a year when the price of milk has plummeted.
