FairPoint service under scrutiny

FairPoint Communications fought long and hard to win approval to
purchase Verizon’s land line business in Vermont, New Hampshire and
Maine.  Customers were hoping for more reliable service and expanded
broadband coverage.  But problems with the transition and service
backlogs have raised questions about FairPoint’s ability to deliver on
its promises, and regulators in all three states are putting the company
on notice. FairPoint’s executive vice president, Jeff Allen, is our
guest to discuss the company’s operations in northern New England, and
take your comments and questions.

Also in the program, a precocious fad among teens has revealed an
unexpected ramification of Vermont’s sex offender laws.  The act of
minors willingly texting explicit photos of themselves to other minors
can lead to charges of child pornography.  We talk with Chittenden
County State’s Attorney TJ Donovan about how legislators are addressing
the problem of "sexting" among young adults.
