The Vermont National Guard prepares its soldiers for deployment in a variety of ways: combat training, dental check-ups, getting financial papers in order. But the psychological preparation for soldiers and their families is getting special attention as Vermonters face a large deployment to Afghanistan. We talk with Vermont National Guard psychologist Colonel Jon Coffin and Major Randy Gates, Family Program director for the Vermont National Guard, about mentally preparing for war. Listen
