Marathon: the lure of 26.2 miles

The Vermont City Marathon attracts about 8,000 runners each Memorial Day weekend. They have trained through the long winter months to prepare physically and mentally, and this Sunday the runners will test themselves against the 26.2 mile distance. We talk with runners about why they are attracted to marathoning, and what goes into training for a long-distance race. We also learn about ultra-marathons, like the annual 50-mile race at Mount Ascutney. (Listen)
