The Annie E. Casey Foundation’s Kids Count Study has recently been released. The study ranks Vermont among the top three in the country in child well-being issues, along with our New England neighbors New Hampshire and Massachusetts. The state is first in the nation on children’s health care.

Voices for Vermont’s Children Executive Director Carlen Finn discusses the report’s findings and also looks at areas of well-being that still have children’s advocates concerned despite the state’s high ranking.

Also in the program, the new president and dean of Vermont Law School begins work this week. Marc Mihaly joined the faculty of VLS in 2004, and has served as director of the school’s Environmental Law Center.
