One of the first U.S.
patents went to a Vermonter, and today Vermont
has more patents issued per capita than anywhere else in the nation.  We talk with Jackie Calder from the
Vermont Historical Society about why the state has long been a hotbed for
innovation.  Then, we take a closer look
at the long and costly process it takes to become an inventor with patent agent
and President of InventVermont, Tom Ference.
And, we also hear from one of Vermont’s
recent success stories, Steve Luhr, the man behind Hammerhead Sleds.
