Drivers on Vermont’s highways have been seen talking on their cell phones, texting, reading books and working on their computers. One was even playing a trumpet while driving. It’s estimated that distracted drivers are the cause of 10 percent – or more than 3,000 – of the accidents in Vermont each year. We discuss the growing problem of distracted drivers in the state and the proposed legislation to deal with it.
