Drivers on Vermont’s highways have been seen talking on their cell phones, texting, reading books and working on their computers. One was even playing a trumpet while driving. It’s estimated that distracted drivers are the cause of 10 percent – or more than 3,000 – of the accidents in Vermont each year. We discuss the growing problem of distracted drivers in the state and the proposed legislation to deal with it. Our guests are Chuck Satterfield, Sheriff’s Liaison to the Governor’s Highway Safety Patrol and Montpelier Chief of Police Tony Facos. Listen
