Don Goodrich of Bennington
lost his son Peter Goodrich in the attacks of 9/11/01. Since that time, he’s found solace in an
unexpected place: a play, written by John Millington Synge, an Irish
playwright, in 1902.  This play resonated
with Goodrich to such a degree that he commissioned a recording of it by an
Irish actor, David Peare of Kinsale.

VPR presents this recording of Peare’s reading of the play online.  The reading was produced by Peter Maquire,
also of Kinsale.
