The Community College of Vermont is getting a new building in Rutland.

The Vermont State Colleges Board of Trustees has given its approval for the college to enter into an agreement to lease a 30,000-square foot building at the corner or Wales and West Streets. The building will be built by DEW Construction, and the company will retain ownership of it.

The school could move from its current location on Evelyn Street in time for Fall 2011 classes.

CCV recently opened a new building in Winooski. The college president says Rutland is the school’s the second largest location, with 900 students enrolled in classes this semester.
