A top official in the administration of former Governor Jim Douglas has landed a new job with the state’s second-largest electric company.

Neale Lunderville served as secretary of administration until Douglas left office last week. Now he’s joining Green Mountain Power with the title of leader of enterprise innovation.

GMP’s president and CEO, Mary Powell, says Lunderville will head up the company’s efforts to move to smart-grid technology in the next few years. The technology allows better communication over electric wires and closer management of electrical usage.

Lunderville, who is 36,  will start at GMP next month.
