Tourists can explore Vermont this fall with a few ghostly adventures.
The Vermont Department of Tourism has launched "Haunted Highways," a vacation package focused on ghost stories and lodging.
The department says tourists can travel from the Bennington Triangle, in the southwestern part of the state, where a number of hikers mysteriously disappeared between 1920 and 1950 to Lake Memphremagog, on the northern border, where the ghost of General "Mad" Anthony Wayne has reportedly been spotted walking across the top of the lake.
And, officials say, there are many mysterious places in between.
