Senator Patrick Leahy was more than a rapt observer at the Inauguration of Barack Obama yesterday.
Leahy is an amateur photographer and has been taking photos at historic events for years. He’s even had his work published in several national publications. Vermont’s senior senator had his camera with him yesterday, and an excellent vantage point from behind the podium where President Barack Obama was sworn-in.
Senator Leahy joins us this morning to talk about his inauguration photos, which he says, took on a special quality because of the historic nature of the events they captured.
