As business owners struggle to reopen stores damaged by Tropical Storm Irene, employees are left to wonder when they might return to work.

Floodwaters from the Connecticut River have forced the closing of several major grocery and department stores.
Jeff Good has been covering this story for the Valley News.
(Good) "Well at this point the estimates are that somewhere between 300 and 500 jobs are going to be lost until these stores reopen. So it’s quite a significant impact."
Good says most stores on the west side of Route 12a were affected by last weekend’s flooding, and that it could be weeks or months before many of them reopen.
