Agriculture leaders say they’re encouraged by many of the provisions that have been included in the Senate version of the national farm bill; five businesses in the Burlington area are getting rewards today for turning off the lights; Congress enacted a law three years ago that advocates say would help convicts prove their innocence through DNA testing, but Senator Patrick Leahy says the Justice Department has ignored the law; a teenager seriously injured in a Berlin car crash last week that killed the driver is said to be getting better at the hospital in Burlington.
