Morrisville Holds Festival Of Lights

Jingle bells were the theme at Saturday’s Festival of Lights in Morrisville.

The annual holiday event is designed to showcase what Morrisville and its downtown businesses have to offer.

Those particular jingle bells belonged to Ike and Prince, a team of Belgian draft horses giving free wagon rides around the Village.

The wagon rides were a big attraction, as were pictures with Santa, free movies at the Bjiou Theater, and silly balloon hats and other creations by Buddy the Clown.

Just in case anyone had something on their wish list Buddy couldn’t produce, Morrisville’s downtown businesses were open to fill the bill.

And don’t worry if you missed last weekend’s festivities. Towns around Vermont are holding similar events throughout December.

This coming weekend you can take part in holiday festivals ranging from "Woodstock’s Winter Wassail Weekend" to "A Traditional Christmas in Stowe."
