N.H. State police try to cut back on gas use

New Hampshire State Police are feeling the pinch of rising gas prices and making some changes to make up the difference.

State police said they have shifted some troopers around in order to cut down on their travel time, but the number of patrols on the roads is still the same.

While police are still looking for speeders and assisting drivers, some troopers have transferred to an area closer to their homes.

Each trooper has been asked to conserve any way possible by cutting back on extraneous things so the car isn’t running unnecessarily.
