Hockey fans all over North America are saying "Say It Aint So"…that’s because the National Hockey League owners, with the blessing of its commissioner Gary Bettman, have voted to lock out the players, and right now there’s no indication of a resolution.

This has happened before, and nowhere is the potential loss of the hockey season more lamented than in Montreal-the home of the most storied franchise in NHL history-the Montreal Canadiens.

Pat Hickey covers Les Habitants and writes about sports for the Montreal Gazette, and says this latest dispute between owners and players boils down to-you guessed it-money.
