The Vermont Arts Council’s Art of Action project is headed to the Burlington International Airport this month for an exhibition.

One artist in the exhibition, Janet McKenzie, chose to focus on the experience of refugees. The airport is one of the first places visited by refuge when they immigrate to this country, and so it’s a fitting place for an event this Friday night. Refugees will gather at an airport restaurant to share their stories. Vermont Refugee Resettlement Program Executive Director Judy Scott says the airport is a fitting place to celebrate the art of arrival.

The Art of Action exhibit will be at Burlington International Airport through January 15th. And refugees will be telling their stories of arrival at the airport tonight.
