A 500-acre farm in Shoreham has come under controversy lately.

WhistlePig has been bottling and selling rye whiskey on site for two years, and now that the operation plans to start growing their own rye and building a distillery, the plan has come under fire by neighbors. At issue is whether or not the operation needs an Act 250 permit for both the current operation and a planned expansion.

In our weekly Regional Report, John Flowers of the Addison Independent explains the issue.
