(Host) The director of the Shelburne Museum is leaving his post to take a new job in Hawaii.

Stephan Jost is credited with revitalizing educational programs and raising the museum’s profile overall.

Board Chairman James Pizzagalli says Jost’s dynamic leadership put the museum on a strong and steady course – even in difficult economic times.

Jost, who is 41, joined the museum 5 years ago. In that time, he produced what’s been described as world-class art exhibits – including shows featuring the work of Mary Cassatt and Ansel Adams.

Jost leaves in mid-March to become the director of Honolulu Academy of Arts in Honolulu, Hawaii.
