At Champlain Valley Union High School in Hinesburg, juniors and seniors can take an elective course, "The Holocaust and Human Behavior." This is an intensive semester-long class that meets every day for an hour and a half. Amanda Terwillegar and Amy Wardwell co-teach the multidisciplinary course, drawing on history, literature, art, psychology and primary sources.

Vermont Edition’s managing producer Patti Daniels sat in on yesterday’s class, and talked with Terwillegar and Wardwell about how they approach teaching the Holocaust to teenagers.
