In late September, President Obama announced the recipients of the Presidential Early Career Awards for Scientists and Engineers. On the list of 94 winners was UVM computer scientist Josh Bongard.

Bongard is just the second UVM researcher to receive the award, which provides $500,000 in research funds. He was chosen for his work in trying to build better robots.

Roboticist Josh Bongard recently talked with VPR’s Jane Lindholm about his work and the award he recently received at the White House.
