Flags will be lowered to half-staff at the Vermont State House and all federal, state and public buildings and grounds throughout the day on this September 11th.

Today marks the 11th anniversary of the terrorist attacks. It is Patriot Day and a National Day of Service and Remembrance, in which Americans are urged to engage in charitable service as a tribute to the victims and survivors of the attacks.

In Morrisville, the local United Way is expecting around one hundred volunteers to pitch in cutting, delivering and stacking firewood today.

The wood will be donated to Lamoille County residents in need of home heating assistance.
