David Brizendine, artist and co-creator of the Burlington Earth Clock, called the VPR Art Hounds hotline to recommend Mildred Moody’s Full Moon Masquerade Ball, on Saturday, December 29th in Burlington, Vermont.

The masquerade ball happens each month on the night of the full moon and the locale is transformed into a festival-like atmosphere with artists and performers around every corner.

Proceeds from the ball benefit a local non-profit artist or group, with this month’s benefactor being local African drum troupe, Jeh Kuhlu.

Lori Landau, a photographer in Essex Junction, Vermont, called to
encourage listeners to get creative each day of January and be part of
the Fun-A-Day project.

Participants can choose any genre and medium in which to express their daily creativity and even join a public showcase of the month-long arts project, held in February.

To become an Art Hound for VPR, fill out the form, then call the Art Hounds Hotline at (802) 778-9585 to record your recommendation.

Art Hounds on VPR is adopted from Minnesota Public Radio News and is
powered by the Public Insight Network. Original music was written and performed by Dave Keller.
