King Henry VIII of England assumed the throne on this day in 1509, but
did you know he also wrote music? Only 17 years old, Henry married Catherine of Aragon on June 11, 1509 and on the 24th the two were crowned at Westminster Abbey. We’ll hear his suite, Rose Without A Thorn, along
with other music of the Queens, Kings, and Emperors this morning.
