A Baroque Christmas

Celebrate the season with Elizabethan consort music, Corelli’s Christmas concerto, Handel’s recently-discovered Gloira and centuries-old carols.

Chatham Baroque, one of the leading interpreters of Baroque music, holds an annual holiday program at the intimate Synod Hall in Pittsburgh. "A Baroque Christmas" features selections
from several of the ensemble’s holiday concerts performed over several years,
along with brief interview clips about the music.

The program includes
music from Bach’s "Christmas Oratorio," sonatas from Schmelzer and
Biber, plus a festive European sampler of popular carols from centuries
past.
