Count down, sing along, and
dance the night away with live music from parties coast
to coast. Starting in Washington DC, you’ll toast the New Year moving west with four celebrations of midnight from
time zone to time zone, right on up to 5:00am New Year’s Day.
Ring in the New Year with salsa, samba and swing! Featuring:
  • 9:30pm – The great Patti Austin sings "A Gershwin New Year’s
    Eve" at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in
    Washington, DC.
  • 11pm– Samba with Trio da Paz (Romero Lubambo, Nilson Matta,
    Duduka da Fonseca) and pianist Kenny Barron on a Brazilian New Year’s
    Eve from Jazz Standard in New York.
  • Midnight – Nachito Herrera and the Steele Family Singers present
    a tribute to Earth, Wind & Fire at the Dakota Jazz Club &
    Restaurant in Minneapolis. Cuban fire and soul!
  • 1am – The Convergence sextet parties to launch a new CD at
    the Dazzle Restaurant & Lounge in Denver.
  • 2am– The Count Basie Orchestra with special guest Ledisi
    celebrate the first New Year’s Eve at the new Yoshi’s in San Francisco.
  • 3am – Jazz party from Amsterdam, thanks to Radio Netherlands.
  • 4am –The Danilo Perez Trio and Big Band premiere his "Panama Suite" in Boston.
