This week Joel Najman’s My Place program attempts to compensate for the lack of sunshine during the recent spate of overcast wet weather in our region  with an hour of music that originally appeared more than a half century ago on the bright yellow SUN record label during the Rock Era’s earliest formative years. 

Memorable recordings by Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis and others are featured. Sun Records was started in 1952 by Memphis, Tennessee recording engineer Sam C. Philips. and, in period of less than five years, launched the recording careers of several of the most successful entertainers of 20th century American Popular music,
