Better
cell phone coverage should come to several areas of the state this fall where
it’s currently difficult to get a signal. The
expansion of cell service will rely on small-scale technology that can be
quickly installed.

Speaker Shap Smith is calling on lawmakers to pass a comprehensive highway
safety bill this session. He
wants the proposal to include a ban on texting and a ban on using a hand held cell phone while driving.
