Northern Pass Project Meets Opposition In New Hampshire

A proposed power transmission line through New Hampshire faces continued opposition from groups opposed to the construction of towers through undeveloped forestland. Known as the Northern Pass, the project would bring 1200 megawatts of electricity from Quebec into Southern New England via a 180 mile transmission line.

Developer Says Northern Pass Brings Clean Energy

Mike Skelton, spokesman for Northern Pass project, talks with Vermont Edition about why he feels the project, which would carry power generated in Quebec through transmission lines stretching 180 miles from the Canadian border to southern New England, will bring clean electricity to the region.
