Audit finds problems at nuclear parts supplier

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission says there’s no indication there were any problems with parts that were not inspected properly before being sent to the Vermont Yankee nuclear plant in Vernon.

Sanders: Public lacks confidence in NRC oversight

Senator Bernie Sanders told federal nuclear regulators today that the public lacks confidence in their ability to oversee the industry. But while Sanders questioned nuclear power, other Senators praised what they called a coming nuclear renaissance.
