Vermont Technical College, in Randolph, is getting $3.4 million
from the U.S. Department of Labor. The money will support training programs in agriculture,
food production, waste disposal and energy production.
Vermonters value debating local issues and

increasingly expect their towns to take advantage of the digital world as well.
Fundraising efforts have raised millions to help Vermonters
recover from Tropical Storm Irene. But organizers say there’s still a
lot to be done to assess what the need is for the funds.
