Report: NE states fall short on tobacco prevention

Health advocates say the New England states have failed to deliver on a pledge to use money from the tobacco settlement for prevention programs, with most states funding programs at only 20 percent of recommended levels.

A new report looking at tobacco use in New Hampshire shows that youths may be smoking less, but are turning to chewing tobacco, instead, and that a number of pregnant woman are still smoking.
