Bartering to beat the recession

Need your kitchen sink fixed?  How about paying for it by designing a garden for your plumber?  Or maybe offering to
design a website in exchange for yoga classes?
We look into how the age-old method of bartering is booming again,
thanks to a down economy.
Our guests include UVM Professor of Community Development and Applied Economics, Jane Kolodinsky; Shey Behbahani, who runs the
Vermont Barter Network; and Pam Knights, who barters as part of her marketing
business.

Also, we talk with Sue Halpern, a scholar-in-residence at Middlebury
College, about a special program in
narrative journalism that yielded some eye-opening stories from Middlebury
students in answer to the question, "How did you get here?"
