The common belief is that as pocketbooks are stretched thin,
philanthropy takes a severe hit.  But
that may not be the case.  We talk with
Peter Espenshade from the Vermont Community Foundation about how local
non-profits and charity organizations are faring during the current economic
downturn.  And, we also check in with
John Dolan, the president of the Vermont Institute of Natural Science (VINS) to
see how his organization is doing. (Listen)

Also, we check in on how the slumping economy is impacting
car dealers in the region.  We talk with
Mitchell Jay, the president of the Vermont Automobile Dealers Association and
