Even before the recession, we were confronted with an increasingly complex financial landscape that requires us to make difficult financial decisions. Yet, most of us have received very little training or education in making those decisions.

Studies show that a majority of Americans are not well-prepared to handle their personal finances and make adequate plans for  retirement. 

The newly created Financial Literacy Center hopes to change that.  We talk with Annamaria Lusardi, Dartmouth’s Joel E. and Susan Hyatt Professor of Economics who directs the center, about how we can improve our financial literacy. Listen
