The state’s lawmakers are working toward a weekend
adjournment of the session. But there’s still a lot of work left to finish in Montpelier
before that happens. Compromises need to be worked out on the new energy bill,
cloud computing tax legislation, efforts to crack down on prescription drug
abuse, a plan to boost the state’s immunization rate and the latest
developments on a plan to require CVPS to rebate $21 million directly to rate
payers.

Governor Peter Shumlin discusses where all of this stands
and his outlook on this legislation.
