This time of year students are just beginning to settle into
their new routines in the classroom.  But
for more than 2000 children in Vermont,
they won’t set foot in a classroom this year, because they’re
homeschooled.  We talk with parents who
have made the choice to educate their own children, and we find out why they’re
doing so, and what challenges they face. (Listen)

Then, do you remember naptime and playtime in
kindergarten?  We look into how
kindergarten programs have changed over the years.  We visit longtime teacher Nora Murtaugh in
her Milton classroom and find out how
kindergarteners spend their days. (Listen)

And, we wander through a South Hero cemetery, and hear one of the stories behind the gravestones. (Listen)
