Halfway through the legislative session, lawmakers have
passed only one bill, to strengthen sex offender laws.  And when they head back to the
Statehouse this Tuesday, lots of issues will still be on the table, from the
state’s budget to Vermont Yankee’s future, to same-sex marriage.  We talk with House Minority Leader Patti Komline and House Majority
Leader Floyd Nease about what priorities they’ve set for the second half of the
session, and what they hope to realistically accomplish. (Listen)

Also, fans of UVM basketball were treated to
back-to-back-to-back victories by the women’s team over the weekend.  The Catamounts won the America East
Conference in Hartford, Connecticut, beating out Boston University in the
finals yesterday by a score of 74 to 66.
The team now moves on to the NCAA tournament.  We talk with Junior guard Courtnay Pilypaitis about the team’s win. (Listen)
