Vermont ranks
fourth in the number of artists living here per capita. That’s according to a new survey by the
National Endowment for the Arts. The
group used census figures to compile its data.
Vermont consistently ranks
high— it has the most writers per capita, and also the most fine artists per
capita. But
are all of those artists
making a living? We look into the
advantages and challenges of being an artist in Vermont.
