This week Vermont Senator Patrick Leahy, chair of the Senate Judiciary Committee, led hearings on Capitol Hill about the impact that the federal Defense of Marriage Act has had since its passage in 1996.  We talk with Leahy about why he supports the repeal of DOMA, and the prospects of that happening in this Congressional session.

And then, we head out to the garden. Peony problems, compost conundrums, and dandelion dilemmas? Garden expert Charlie Nardozzi joins us live to answer your questions and celebrate the bounty at the mid-point of the growing season.
