Next steps in punishing sex offenders

The Senate Judiciary Committee has held hearings across the state this summer and fall, taking public opinion on how to punish and treat sex offenders. The hearings sprang from the violent murder of a 12-year old Randolph girl, Brooke Bennett. Now the committee is wrapping up its work and preparing draft recommendations for the Legislature to consider. Senate Judiciary Chair Dick Sears tells us what his committee heard from the public, and what recommendations the panel has formulated so far.(Listen)
