On Town Meeting Day, we examine the challenges of
maintaining a participatory government in Vermont. Susan Clark, Middlesex town meeting moderator
and co-author of the book, All Those In
Favor: Rediscovering the Secrets of Town Meeting and Community
joins us to
talk about civic involvement at a local level. (Listen)

Also, as this primary season has progressed we’ve been learning more about just who is voting for whom. In New Hampshire’s primary we know that John McCain won a large percentage of moderates and self-described liberals; Hillary Clinton picked up the votes of most women. In Louisiana’s primary, Barack Obama won the votes of nine out of ten African-Americans. AP Polling director, Mike Mokrzycki joins us to talk about the art and science behind exit polls, and what we may learn about Vermont voters. (Listen)

And, we take a peek at preparations for the annual town meeting potluck in Goshen, Vermont. (Listen)
