The in weeks following Brooke Bennett’s death, much has been made about how the state punishes child sex offenders. But Ken Wooden of Shelburne wants the focus shifted to preventing crimes against children, and teaching kids what they need to know about keeping themselves safe from child predators. Host Bob Kinzel talks with Wooden, a nationally acclaimed expert on abuse prevention and head of the organization Child Lures Prevention.

Also in the program, Louis Porter of the Vermont Press Bureau examines state’s budget crunch and the campaign finances questions surrounding Anthony Pollina’s campaign for governor. And we listen back to some of the voices in the week’s news.
