On the next Vermont Edition: record rains and storm damage have been THE story of this summer’s weather. We talk with weather watchers about the storms and rainfall we’ve experienced, and the impact of that rain on farms. Our guests are Brooke Taber of the National Weather Service and Heather Darby, a crop specialist with the UVM extension service. (Listen)

Also in the program, when weather is sever enough to cause damage the Vermont Emergency Management System gets involved. We talk with Deputy Commissioner Peter Coffey about how and when the state’s emergency offices respond to flood and wind damage from summer storms. (Listen)

And we taste the raspberry crop that’s coming up at the Morse Hillside Farm in Westford. (Listen)
