Early voting for Vermont’s primary election begins on Monday. It’s estimated
that 25 percent of all voters will use this system this year. We talk with
Secretary of State Jim Condos about early voting, and whether states should
require photo IDs for all voters.

comments below, or write to vermontedition@vpr.net.

Also on the program, two
weeks ago the U.S. Supreme Court ruled that the Affordable Care Act is constitutional,
and health care has become a key issue in this year’s presidential race. In Vermont, Governor Peter Shumlin is pushing for a publicly
financed single payer system by 2017. We talk to Shumlin about the timeline for
implementing a single payer system, and possibilities for funding it.

And we listen back to some of
the voices in this week’s news.
