Ski Areas Are Bullish On Upcoming Season

Approximately 80 percent of the skiers who take to the slopes at Vermont’s alpine areas come from out of state. Ski industry officials say they expect them to keep coming this winter, despite the economy. 

We talk with Parker Riehle, president of the Vermont Ski Areas Association about the health of the industry in Vermont and expectations for the coming season.  We also hear from officials at Mad River Glen and Mount Snow.
