Local colleges now offer majors in Game Art and Animation, Music Business and Industry, Northern Studies, Sustainability and the Advancement of Public Action. Some schools even allow students to create their own majors. So is a liberal arts education still relevant in the 21st century?

Champlain College Vice President David Provost and St. Johnsbury Academy’s Director of Guidance Sean Murphy look at how colleges have adapted their curriculums to the changing demands of the work place.

Plus, four years ago, Carmen Tarleton was brutally attacked by her estranged husband who poured industrial-strength lye on her. The attack left Tarleton with burns over 80 percent of her body and a severely disfigured face. Today, Tarleton continues to recover from her injuries. She’s also begun to speak to groups about her experience and the lessons she’s drawn from it.
