We throw on the hip boots, grab a fly rod and step quietly into our rivers and streams to do some fly fishing.

Guide and author Lawton Weber instructs us on how to catch brown trout, rainbows, brookies, salmon, bass and pike with dry flies, beadheads and poppers as the levels of our rivers and streams start to recede. Vermont Fish and Wildlife’s Director of Fisheries Eric Palmer also provides an update on the state’s stocking efforts.

Plus, Linda Berlin, of the Center for Sustainable Agriculture and Abbie Nelson, director of VT Food Education Every Day, discuss a program that has been working to build healthy eating habits among Vermont school kids by connecting them with local agriculture.
